The main goal of the STOP Technique is to interrupt impulsive reactions and automatic responses to emotional triggers. By implementing a conscious pause and practicing mindfulness, individuals can distance themselves from overwhelming emotions and prevent knee-jerk reactions. This technique enables you to make more deliberate and rational choices, enhancing interpersonal relationships and overall well-being.

I use the STOP technique every day and during times of real challenge to enable me to calm my mind and make better decisions. I cover everyday life, the teenage brain, resilience, and how you can use this technique to overcome anxiety and panic attacks.
